The newest regional office reflects a commitment to in-home care and Connecticut families.
Companions & Homemakers, Connecticut’s leading home care agency, will host the Grand Opening of its new Stratford office on Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Stratford Mayor Laura R. Hoydick, local elected officials, business leaders, caregivers and individuals interested in learning more about services and job opportunities offered by Companions & Homemakers are expected to be on hand for the Grand Opening, which will run from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the new office at 2505 Main Street in Stratford.
“We are proud to welcome Companions and Homemakers here to Stratford,” said Mayor Laura R. Hoydick. “The important work they do for our region, ensuring in-home care is available to elder residents that want to age in place with their families, has really become a critical component of our making happier families in our community. We look forward to working with them as they open their new facility here in Stratford to ensure their mission is successful.”

According to an AARP study, 90 percent of people age 65 and over would prefer to stay in their own homes as they get older — and not go to a nursing home or assisted living facility. Aging in place is defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as "the ability to live in one's own home and community safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level."
Companions & Homemakers serves residents in every community in Connecticut. With consistently high customer satisfaction ratings and numerous industry awards, Companions & Homemakers is Connecticut’s leader in homecare and companion services.
