Convicted Stratford Killer Sent Back to Jail

The man, who was convicted of killing his wife, violated his probation by fleeing to Canada.

Luis Castelare, who was convicted of killing his wife in Stratford 13 years ago, was sent back to jail for violating terms of his probation by fleeing to Canada in March, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Castelare, 65, had two years of probation remaining following a 15-year prison sentence and had been ordered not to leave Connecticut.

Castelare was sentenced to 150 days in prison for violating his probation followed by three years of special parole and was also ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment, according to the Post.
