Cop Charged In Stratford Crash Resigns

The teenage victim in the crash suffered a broken wrist and ankle fractures.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport cop charged in a 2017 Stratford crash resigned from the department last week, according to the Connecticut Post. John Carrano is charged with assault and driving under the influence after he was traveling in the wrong direction on Broadbridge Avenue and hit a vehicle being driven by the 19-year-old granddaughter of Bridgeport's former mayor, Thomas Bucci, the Post reported.

The teen suffered a broken wrist and ankle fractures, according to the Post. The case is being prosecuted in Milford superior court, the Post reported.
