Coronavirus Cases Reported At Stratford Summer School Programs

The Stratford school district reported confirmed cases of the coronavirus in summer programs on Monday.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford school district reported confirmed cases of the coronavirus in summer programs on Monday.

The school district notified community members in an email of the following cases:

Stratford High School/Summer School Program – 1 positive case, no close contacts.

Franklin Elementary School/STEM Enrichment Program – 1 positive case, close contacts notified.

“The affected persons have been instructed to remain at home in ‘self-isolation’ for 10 calendar days, and have been provided with additional instructions to follow prior to returning to school and work,” officials wrote in the email. “Family members will be instructed to quarantine for 10 days from exposure.

“Anyone considered a ‘close contact’ will be contacted by our school nurses and staff. They will provide instruction on the appropriate steps to be taken regarding quarantine and for when to return to school or work.”
