Data: Vaccination Rate In Stratford As Delta Variant Spreads
Overall, Connecticut is one of the states with the highest vaccination rate in the nation.
STRATFORD, CT— The Connecticut Department of Public Health reports 57.86 percent of Stratford residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of August 18, 2021.
Stratford is in a “red zone” of coronavirus transmission, meaning there are 15 or more cases per 100,000 people per day.
Earlier this week, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont issued an order requiring all staff and students in K-12 school buildings to wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status.

Lamont said Thursday that there have been 23 more COVID-19 deaths reported in the state. Including these deaths, 8,330 Connecticut residents have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic outbreak last year.
“We knew that we might expect to see a little bit of a flare up...this coming fall,” Lamont said. “We weren’t quite expecting (the) delta (variant) to cast that curveball at us in late July and August.”
