Firefighters Battle Structure Blaze In Stratford

A fire broke out Friday morning in an old Civil Air Patrol building at Sikorsky Memorial Airport.

STRATFORD, CT — Firefighters battled a structure fire Friday morning, according to a post from Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998.

The fire was reported in the area of Stratford Road and Hartland Street at 6:30 a.m. at Sikorsky Memorial Airport.

Firefighters from Bridgeport and Stratford arrived to find a fully involved fire in a one-and-a-half-story building. The structure is an old Civil Air Patrol building, according to the Bridgeport Fire Department.

Firefighters said to use caution in the area.
