A ‘Frightmare Before Christmas’ In Stratford

Fright Haven in Stratford announces a limited-run of four weekend nights in December for "A Frightmare Before Christmas."

STRATFORD, CT — (Contributed press release): This holiday season, Fright Haven in Stratford is holding a haunted house event like no other: "A FRIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS." For four nights only, Friday, Dec. 15, Saturday, Dec. 16, Friday, Dec. 22 and Saturday, Dec. 23, visitors to Connecticut’s largest and greatest indoor Halloween Haunted House will experience brand new attractions, all decked out for the holidays and ready to make guests scream 'til the New Year.

The start of the scares begins with "Dead End Manor: No Home for the Holidays," a horrific look into one family's not-so picture perfect Christmas Eve. Ornaments are smashed, stockings torn...and is that blood in the chimney? Who...or what...could have done this? When did the "sleighride" turn into a "slay-ride?!"

Next, take a tour of Santa's infamous toy workshop in "The Factory." Don't expect to find any happy elves, however -- they've been overworked this season, and Santa's demanding schedule has caused them all to lose their minds. Will guests survive this terrifying tour and escape the angry elves and rejected toys that have seemingly come to life? Or will visitors become just another piece on the assembly line?

Guests will marvel at the vintage Christmas sets, decor, props and figurines which are used for the production. Combine the visuals with special effects, animatronics and live actors, and you have some clue as to what to expect at "A FRIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS." But it's hard to expect the unexpected, and there are scares around every corner at this haunted holiday show.

The limited-run of four weekend nights in December is expected to draw an equal number of return visitors who experienced Fright Haven during the Halloween season, and those who didn't yet get a chance to enjoy the fun and fear of the 20,000 square foot indoor attraction.

Last year, Fright Haven premiered "A FRIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS" to rave reviews, and producers have promised to amp up the chills and thrills. In fact, one of the new attractions brings a classic tune to life: "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

Fright Haven is located in the Stratford Square Shopping Plaza, 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff, next to L.A. Fitness, Marshall's and Ninety Nine Restaurant (across from Home Depot). Parking is free, and all events are indoors. Hours are 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event is open to all ages but recommended for 12 and over.

Advance tickets are $25 each ($30 door or $20 at door with non-perishable food donation) and now on sale from https://frighthaven.ticketleap.com/frightmare2017/. Using the code word "CLAWS" (as in Santa 'Claws') at check-out will enable visitors to save $5 off each ticket purchased in advance.
