Girl's Death on School Bus Sparks Investigation, Bridgeport Officials Say

School officials are investigating how a 6-year-old Bridgeport student died on the way to school on December 15, the Connecticut Post reports.

Details are scarce now, but officials tell the Post that the girl was was being driven in a special-needs bus. When the girl arrived at Tisdale School, the girl was unresponsive and staff and paramedics performed CPR in an effort to revive her but that was unsuccessful, the Post reports.

Bridgeport school officials say they are now investigating what happened, and police declined to comment further. She was laid to rest Monday.
