New Restaurant Celebrates Opening In Stratford
The Stratford restaurant is the popular franchise's second location in Connecticut.

STRATFORD, CT — A new Caribbean restaurant celebrated its opening in Stratford with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony last week.
Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant is located at 140 East Main St. (Knott’s Landing) in Stratford. It is the franchise’s second location in Connecticut.
“Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant is a fast-casual restaurant operator and manufacturer of Caribbean cuisine, including Jamaican patties and jerk chicken, with over 120 franchise restaurants throughout North America,” according to its Facebook page.

The Stratford location is owned by Marcia Hawthorne and Shawn Ffrench. It is their seventh Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant and first in Connecticut.
The first Golden Krust opened in 1989 at 1381 E. Gunhill Road, New York, and its first franchise location opened in 1996 in Brooklyn, New York, according to its website.
