STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford resident and former counselor is accused of sexually assaulting a patient, according to the Connecticut Post.
Santiago Aguirre was charged Wednesday with second-degree sexual assault after the victim contacted police in March about the assault, which is alleged to have occurred in 2014 and 2015, the Post reported. The newspaper noted it is a felony in Connecticut for a therapist to have a sexual relationship with a patient. Aguirre, 52, of Albright Avenue, was a grief counselor at LifeBridge in Bridgeport before he was let go in 2017, according to the Post.
