STRATFORD, CT — While most of the state was out shoveling through another nor’easter, a lucky Lottery player was piling up more than just snow with a historic winning ticket that was sold in Stratford. Someone purchased a $5 million Mega Millions winning ticket at Dolly’s Deli located on 6 Boston Avenue in Stratford. Lottery officials are looking for the winner so check your tickets.
The winning numbers drawn on March 13 were: 6 - 30 - 58 - 60 – 61, Mega Ball number 17 and the Megaplier number was 5. The player matched five numbers and since the player added the Megaplier for an extra $1, their $1 million prize was multiplied to $5 million, according to lottery officials.
Lottery officials say this is the first CT Lottery $5 million Mega Millions prize ever. The $345 million estimated Mega Millions jackpot was not won in the Tuesday night drawing.
