Indoor Dog Facility Coming to Stratford

A 15,020 square-foot industrial building will be transformed into a state-of-the-art leash and cage-free facility for dogs.

STRATFORD, CT — A state-of-the-art indoor dog facility is expected to open in Stratford on Hathaway Drive in early 2017.

Angela Pantalone, owner of Wag Central, purchased industrial property located at 70 and 80 Hathaway Drive in Stratford for the indoor park and total dog care facility.

Jon Angel, President of Southport-based Angel Commercial, L.L.C., announced the sale of the property in a press release.

“The 15,020 SF building on .76 acres will undergo a complete transformation,” said Angel, who represented both the buyer and seller in this transaction. “It will become a state-of-the-art, leash and cage free facility just for dogs.”

The new facility, Wag Central, will include an indoor bark park, overnight sleep space, daycare, grooming salon, self-wash, training, swimming pool, dog bakery, cafe, vet clinic and retail boutique.

“It is a one-stop shop,” Pantalone said. “We will also have a pup taxi and poop scoop service.”

Pantalone was initially interested in another location for Wag Central.

“Jon Angel listened and guided me to this property,” Pantalone said in the press release. “It is more spacious and has a better location and layout for my needs.”

Opening in early 2017, Wag Central will create 10 new jobs in Stratford.
