STRATFORD, CT — Jayquan Kirkland scored his 1,000th career point for the Stratford High School boys basketball team in front of the home crowd and led the Red Devils to a 69-32 victory over Weston.

Kirkland scored all 14 points needed to cross the 1,000-point milestone in the second quarter and finished with 22. Brady Knorr added 18 points for the Red Devils.

Weston’s Ethan Patterson had 12 points.

Stratford improved to 13-4 with the win.

The Red Devils played New Milford on Tuesday and face a tough Kolbe Cathedral team on Senior Night on Friday.
