Man Accused of Engaging Stratford Police in Pursuit, Claims Officers Put Baby's Life in Danger: Report

Police found the infant unsecured in a car seat after the pursuit ended and the man yelled at them for putting the baby's life in danger.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man claims Stratford Police put his newborn baby’s life in danger after he allegedly engaged them in a pursuit, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Andre Fernandez, 32, was arrested Friday night after police observed the vehicle he was operating nearly strike another car and officers continued the pursuit onto I-95 South after the license plate on the vehicle came back stolen.

When the pursuit ended, officers found an infant unsecured in a car seat under a blanket in the back seat and Fernandez allegedly yelled at them for putting his baby in danger, according to the Post.
