Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Shooting: Stratford Police
Police said an argument between two men turned violent, with one of the men shooting the other.
STRATFORD, CT — A man is facing an attempted murder charge in connection with a shooting Monday night in Stratford, according to police.
Police responded to the 300 block of Knowlton Street around 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 on the report of shots fired.
Officers found that an argument between two men turned violent with one of the men shooting the other, according to police.

The Connecticut Post reports the argument was about catalytic converters.
The shooting suspect was identified as 44-year-old Eugene Delevante of Stratford, according to police. The victim’s car was also damaged in the incident, police said.

Police said the victim received treatment at a local hospital for a leg injury and was later released.
Delevante was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm, ammunition or an electronic defense weapon, criminal attempt to commit murder, and first-degree assault.
He was held in lieu of a $1 million bond with a court date of Dec. 2.
