Man Robbed Dunkin’ Donuts In Stratford, Pleads Guilty: Feds

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man has pleaded guilty to federal charges in connection with robberies in Stratford and New Haven, according to officials.

Latrell S. Moore, 32, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in New Haven federal court this week to robbery and gun charges, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Leonard C. Boyle announced.

Moore was accused of robbing the Dunkin’ Donuts on Lordship Boulevard in Stratford on Aug. 5, 2019. Authorities also said he stole about $2,000 while robbing the Santander Bank on Grand Avenue in New Haven on Aug. 12, 2019.

Moore was arrested on related state charges on Aug. 14, 2019. He was found to be in the possession of a loaded .38-caliber revolver and a .25 caliber semiautomatic handgun at the time of his arrest, according to authorities.

“Moore’s criminal history includes a state felony weapons conviction,” officials wrote in a news release. “It is a violation of federal law for a person previously convicted of a felony offense to possess a firearm or ammunition that has moved in interstate or foreign commerce.”

Moore pleaded guilty to one count of Hobbs Act robbery, one count of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a robbery, one count of bank robbery, and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Moore is scheduled to be sentenced July 12. He faces a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of seven years and a maximum term of imprisonment of life, according to officials.
