‘Mayor’s Do Good Fund’ Nonprofit Announced In Stratford
The new nonprofit replaces the Mayor's Golf Charity, according to officials.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Mayor David Chess this week formally announced a newly-formed 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, the “Mayor’s Do Good Fund” replacing the Mayor’s Golf Charity.
The mission of the Mayor’s Do Good Fund is to “inspire generosity, strengthen community ties, and provide meaningful support to Stratford organizations and residents when and where it is needed most,” according to a news release.
“The Stratford Mayor’s Office has a long history of charitable efforts supporting the community, which I’m happy to continue,” Chess said. “This fund allows us to act when needs arise, whether that means supporting senior residents, helping students access opportunities, strengthening our community centers, or ensuring our arts and cultural programs continue to thrive. It gives us the flexibility to step in at the right moment, when support matters most.”
