Micalizzi’s Italian Ice Opens New Location In Stratford
The iconic Italian Ice business celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Stratford over the weekend.
STRATFORD, CT — Area staple Micalizzi’s Italian Ice celebrated the grand opening of its new location in Stratford over the weekend.
Micalizzi’s Stratford opened in the former home of Parad-ice Cream at 3600 Main Street at Paradise Green.
Miccalizzi’s owner Jay Piccirillo has teamed up with the owners of Zack’s Frozen Yogurt to open the new location, according to the Connecticut Post.

“We also want to thank Allison Perley & Chris Perley from Paradice-cream for passing on the torch to us,” reads a recent post on the Micalizzi’s Italian Ice Facebook page. “Their staff will remain as all three businesses will be working together!
“Thanks to everyone for supporting this fantastic venture especially Ron Rocco Saracino who brought this visual idea to life!”

The Connecticut Post reports the new Stratford location will feature only Micalizzi’s products and branding, but it will be run by John and James Dempsey of Zack’s Frozen Yogurt, which will continue to operate at its location near Short Beach.
In addition to its original location in Bridgeport, Micalizzi’s Italian Ice expanded with a new spot in Milford last year.
