Milford Man Stabbed Victim in Fight Over Money: Stratford Police

Responding officers found the victim lying on the sidewalk on West Broad Street in Stratford.

Stratford police have charged a Milford man for stabbing another man in an argument over money.

Officers responded to a report of a fight in the area of 1621 West Broad Street on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the sidewalk with stab wounds and EMS was called.

During the investigation, the victim identified his attacker as Daniel Dzwonkowski, 24, of Milford, according to Lt. Frank Eannotti.

Dzwonkowski was located by Bridgeport and Stratford officers a short time later and arrested, Eannotti said.

Dzwonkowski was charged with first-degree assault, carrying a dangerous Instrument and tampering with evidence. He was held on a $100,000 bond.

Police didn’t release the name of the victim, but said he was listed in serious condition.
