Moratorium Considered On Self-Storage Buildings In Stratford

The town is considering putting a stop to the development of additional self-storage facilities in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — The Zoning Commission will consider a moratorium on self-storage buildings in Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports the town already has two new self-storage buildings in the planning stages and Economic and Community Development Director Mary Dean recently proposed putting a stop to additional developments, saying the town has become saturated with them.

The Economic Development Commission approved the plan and the moratorium could go into effect in March is it gains the approval of the Zoning Commission, according to the Post.
