STRATFORD, CT — Former Stratford High School standout Dannie Powell has been named the new boys’ basketball coach at Bunnell, according to GameTimeCT.com. Powell, who was an all-state guard at Stratford and finished with more than 1,000 career points, replaces longtime Bunnell coach Pat Yerina.
Powell previously served as an assistant under Yerina and most recently was an assistant coach at Fairfield Prep, according to GameTimeCT. He also was the head coach at Capital Prep Harbor School in Bridgeport.
