New London Resident Appointed Partner at BlumShapiro
BlumShapiro Announces Ronald W. Nossek As New Partner

BlumShapiro, the largest regional accounting and business consulting firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has announced the appointment of a new partner, Ronald W. Nossek, CPA.
Nossek is a proven expert in government accounting, with special focus in audits of government entities. In addition, Nossek has significant experience in the ever-changing regulations applied to governmental accounting, including State and Federal Single Audit Acts and School Construction Compliance.

A certified public accountant, Nossek comes to BlumShapiro from CohnReznick where he served as partner in the firm’s New London office. Nossek’s responsibility included providing municipalities with planning, management, and supervision of accounting, audit, tax and consulting services. While at CohnReznick, Nossek earned the AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing.
Nossek is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, Government Accounting and Auditing Committee and Government Finance Officers Association of the United States.

Nossek is a former Mayor and City Council Member of the City of New London. He is former President of the Board of Directors of the Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut and is a Corporator of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and Liberty Bank.
Nossek received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Widener University.
He is a resident of New London.
