New Restaurant House Of Pho To Open In Stratford
The Vietnamese restaurant will open next week in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — Two brothers and first-time restaurant owners will open House of Pho, a Vietnamese eatery, Monday in Stratford. While the pair may be new to the business, their family has a connection to the food industry — their mother, who will work in the kitchen at House of Pho, used to own a restaurant in Vietnam.
"We love food," said Loi Le, of Danbury, who co-owns House of Pho with his brother, Thang Le, also of Danbury. "... We wanted to bring our homestyle cooking here."
Menu highlights will include the spring rolls and the fresh chicken pho, served every Sunday with chicken killed and prepared the same day to enhance the flavor of the broth in the Vietnamese noodle soup, Loi said. In addition to its food offerings, the restaurant will serve wine and beer.

Loi, who will handle the front of the house, said the brothers hope to offer a casual, family oriented setting where diners can enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Thang will work with his parents in the kitchen.
The restaurant's decor features hanging bauble lights and textured wall details made of stone, wood and rope, offering an atmosphere suitable for a date night or dinner with the kids.

"We're very happy that they've decided to invest in Stratford," Mayor Laura Hoydick said at a ribbon cutting Thursday. "... This is really, really well done."
House of Pho will join four neighboring eateries in Oronoque Plaza: La Fortuna, Oar & Oak, Main Hing Chinese Restaurant and Dao Fusion Cuisine. The Le family's business occupies a space that was previously home to a yogurt and bubble tea shop as well as Main Hing, which has since moved to a different area in the plaza.
House of Pho will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is located at 7365 Main St., Unit 18. For more information, call 203-290-4912 or visit www.houseofphoct.com.
