New Sikorsky Driveway To Open As Route 110 Project Progresses

Via the Town of Stratford: STRATFORD, CT — Construction on the Route 110 realignment project is continuing. Work is currently wrapping up for the construction season on the widening of the Route 110 and Oronoque Lane intersection.

The work has progressed to a point where the new opening of the new driveway to Sikorsky Aircraft is imminent. Temporary traffic lights will be in place to serve the newly aligned intersection. The use of the driveway will be phased in this week, with traffic exiting Sikorsky utilizing the new driveway beginning Friday (traffic entering Sikorsky will continue to use the old driveway entrance). In the coming days, all traffic will begin using the new driveway.

Work will continue through the coming month, weather permitting, to complete the installation of the permanent traffic lights and other off-road work. In the spring, the balance of the project will be completed, including paving and restriping the roadway.
