Obituary: Angerine (Rogers) Isler, 75, of Stratford

Angerine was devoted to her family, loved animals especially her dogs, was a great cook, an avid gardener and had a feisty sense of humor.

Angerine (Rogers) Isler, 75, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Chester Ray Isler Sr., passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Isler was born April 1, 1941 in Sprott, Alabama, daughter of the late Issacs and Lucendia (Edwards) Rogers and had been along time area resident.

Angerine was devoted to her family, loved animals especially her dogs, was a great cook, an avid gardener and had a feisty sense of humor.

Survivors include her four children, Jacqueline Isler, Lucendia Isler, Chester Isler Jr. and his wife Jo-Ann and Donna Chisholm and her husband Grady; nine grandchildren, Nanette, Calvin, Chester III, Asiza, Christopher, Cherae, Mark, Makell and Shane; three Greatgrandchildren, Myah, Julian and Cali; three brothers, Issacs, O.T. and William Rogers. and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Reginald Isler and a brother Robert Rogers.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St. Stratford. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
