Obituary: Anne M. Sweeney Ulicki, 89; Formerly Of Stratford

HAMDEN, CT — (From Sisk Brothers Funeral Home): Anne M. Sweeney Ulicki, 89, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on July 12,2022 at Apple Rehab in Shelton.

Wife of the late John E. Ulicki. Beloved mother of Michael (Christine) Ulicki of Cheshire, Paul (Sandra) Ulicki of Beacon Falls, John (Romina Romano) Ulicki of Norwalk and Nancy (Ljuchpo Atanasov) Ulicki of The Bronx, NY. Loving grandmother of Andrea, Jillian, Kathryn, Giustina and Giacomo. Sister of Michael Sweeney of Hebron and Eileen White of Colorado Springs, CO. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family was most important to Anne as she grew up in a big Irish family and was one of 10 children. She was predeceased by seven of her siblings.

Anne was born Sept. 24,1932 in Olyphant, PA a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Connors Sweeney and came from Olyphant to Stratford, CT at a young age, graduating from Stratford High School in 1950 and lived most of her life there until she moved to Hamden over 20 years ago. She was a big part of her community at The Commons where she resided.

Anne had a love for people, she was on the board for her building, she was a floor rep and had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. She enjoyed spending time joining in on the activities at The Commons and always had a way of making people smile.
