Obituary: Carl M. Sakowicz Jr., 53; Formerly Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Carl M. Sakowicz Jr., 53, of West Haven, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2023, in his home. Carl was born in Bridgeport on May 7, 1970, beloved son of Carl M. Sakowicz Sr. and Patricia Mulkern. Predeceased by his brother Gregory Sakowicz. He was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1989.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his daughter, Emma Sakowicz, brother, Charlie Sakowicz and his wife Alyssa and nephews, Charles and Grayson Sakowicz as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Carl was most known for his love of baseball and softball as he was an avid player all throughout his life until he began coaching with SBA and the Stratford Titans bringing them to the world series in 2019.

Carl took pride in his love for the game and the people that surrounded him on the field. He left an imprint on every person he crossed paths with, always in a positive way.

Carl was also one of the most selfless, compassionate, caring, and loving people to know. His heart was enormous, and his smile lit up the room.
