Stratford, CT - Carol (Nevins) Marazita, age 81, of Stratford, died on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the widow of Gregory Marazita.

Carol was born in Bridgeport to the late Charles and Theresa (Chinchak) Nevins. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Carol loved travel and she and Greg enjoyed vacations, especially to their favorite destination, San Francisco. A great sports fan, she supported her favorite teams, the NY Mets, NY Jets and UCONN Women's Huskies.

Survivors include three beloved sons and their wives, Gregory and Patricia Marazita of Milford, Thomas and Cheryl Marazita of South Carolina and Daniel and Janna Marazita of Trumbull; nine loving grandchildren, Christopher Marazita, Katelyn (William) Herchel, Rebecca (Zachary) Wright, Michelle Marazita, James Marazita, Shea Marazita, Daniel Marazita, Jr., Casey Marazita and Sean Marazita; and one great-grandchild, Zachary. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Thomas Marazita.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 9 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. James Church with a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Thomas J. Lynch. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
