Chris helped found The Bridge Academy Charter School and spent over 20 years there as a math teacher until he retired in 2021 due to his health. He was passionate about effecting the most positive change in his students and he loved his coworkers. He was a volunteer at St. John's Food Kitchen and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Stratford where he volunteered time cooking, teaching, and helping with buildings and grounds.

Chris loved spending time with his family and friends. He coached many of his children’s athletics teams or could be seen cheering them on from the sidelines. He treasured their annual vacations to Block Island and Dave Matthews Band concerts. He loved rooting for all the Boston sports teams and attending football, basketball, and baseball games with his family. He loved listening to and poorly singing along to Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Queen. He was always the "go to man" that his family, friends, and neighbors could depend on to help out with home projects. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and they know he is up in heaven with a bourbon and cigar in hand.
