Obituary: Colleen A. Oleynik, 76, Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Colleen A. Oleynik, 76, of Stratford, beloved wife of Gerald Oleynik, passed away on November 18, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital.

Colleen was born in Bridgeport on November 27, 1945, to the late Clarence and Irene (Egan) Clark and had been a lifelong area resident. She attended St. John’s Commercial High School and Harding High and earned her AS from the Weylister Secretarial School at the University of Bridgeport.

Colleen worked for the Town of Stratford for 32 years, in the Tax Office, Senior Center and most recently in the records department for the Stratford Police Department. Previously she had been employed as an executive secretary for Remington Electric Shaver and in the cashier office of Stop and Shop.

Survivors in addition to her beloved husband include her devoted son, David Oleynik of Stratford, and several cousins. In addition to her parents, Colleen was pre-deceased by her brothers, Barry and David.

Visitation on Monday, November 28th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
