STRATFORD, CT — (From Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home): Craig Daniel Connors, 40, of Shelton, the beloved son of Daniel and Mary Connors of Stratford, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023, at the West Haven VA Medical Center.

Born in Bridgeport, Craig was a graduate of Bunnell High School, class of 2001 and a Gulf War veteran who served three tours in the Air Force in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain. He worked for 14 years at Sikorsky Aircraft as a Quality Control Supervisor and later completed his associate’s degree at Housatonic Community College.

Craig was cherished by his family and many friends for his big heart and fun-loving personality. He loved nothing better than fishing with his father, playing terrible golf and listening to his favorite band, Rush. The highlight of his year every 4th of July was the fireworks display he and his brother, Brian would batter family, friends and neighbors with.
