Obituary: Daniel R. Sara, 36, Of Stratford

Danny, a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull, had a kind heart and a quirky sense of humor that he used to make people smile.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Shaughnessy Banks Funeral Home): Daniel Robert Sara passed away suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born in Bridgeport on June 11, 1986 to Wayne and Maureen (nee Shea) Sara, he was raised in Stratford. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School in Trumbull and employed at CVS in Stratford.

He was a fount of knowledge about subjects that interested him. He was huge fan of the heavy metal genre of music, and he enjoyed discussing different bands and sharing songs from all genres with friends and family.

Danny loved to follow sports, especially the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with all the family cats, and visits with his niece dog, Quinn, would always make his day. Danny had a kind heart and a quirky sense of humor which he used to make people smile. He will be sorely missed.

He is predeceased by his mother, Maureen. He is survived by his father, Wayne of Stratford, CT, and his four siblings: Megan and her husband Mike Adams of Westfield, MA; Brian Sara, USN, of Sasebo, Japan; Lauren Sara and her partner Alison Curcio of Bridgeport; and Timothy Sara and his partner Emily Rogers of Ridgewood Queens, NY, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home located at 50 Reef Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow immediately after at Riverside Cemetery located at 308 River Road, Shelton, CT 06484.
