STRATFORD, CT — (From Pistey Funeral Home): Denise L. (Bailey) Maseto, 63, of Stratford, loving wife of Ernest Maseto Jr., passed away on July 27, 2023, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on February 20, 1960, in Milford to Linda Bailey and the late Robert Bailey. Denise was raised in a close-knit family who instilled in her the values of kindness and love that she would carry throughout her life. She attended Stratford High School but graduated from Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury where she made many lifelong friendships.

Denise was a devoted wife and mother, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she took great joy in spending time with them, whether it was at home or at their favorite vacation spots.

Denise's love extended beyond her immediate family to a wide circle of friends and extended family, all of whom cherished her company and friendship.

One of Denise's great passions was the beach. She loved the feeling of the sand between her toes, the smell of the salty air, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Her favorite places to visit were the Florida Keys and Cape Cod, where she would relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounded her. These trips brought her great joy and provided her with cherished memories that she would share with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three beloved sons, Jesse, Tony and Robert, her daughter-in-law Sarah and her three cherished grandsons, Cole, Tyler and Luca. Also survived by her mother, Linda Bailey; and her sisters, Debbie Rubenstein and Dawn Bennett.

Friends and Family may call on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main St. Stratford, CT. Friends and Family are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 9:45 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main St. Stratford, CT and at 10:30 a.m. at Stratford United Methodist Church with Rev. Sunhee Kim officiating. Interment at Saint Michael Cemetery. Those who so desire may make contributions in her memory to Stratford United Methodist Church 2600 Main St. Stratford, CT 06615.
