Dorothy (Koundry) Denton, 83, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Edward B. Denton, passed away, Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Lord Chamberlain Nursing facility, Stratford. Mrs. Denton was born April 16, 1934 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Yanzo) Koundry and had been a lifetime area resident.

She was an avid Yankee fan and never missed a game. She loved her Pepsi and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson, whether it was going to carnivals with them and her husband, or just enjoying them at family picnics and holidays.

Survivors include her two daughters, Annmarie Denton of Stratford who was her caregiver and Rose Marie Denton and her fiancé Derrick Milan of Derby; three grandchildren, Kelley Lynn (Denton) Secchiaroli and her husband Frank, Nicholas Edward Denton and Mackenzie Rae Mortimer; one great-grand son, Shane L. Butler, all of Stratford; one brother, Edward Koundry and many nieces and nephews.
