Obituary: Eileen Rose Russo, 66, of Stratford

Eileen Rose Russo, 66, of Stratford, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Bridgeport Hospital. Eileen was born March 28, 1951 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Candelora) Russo and had been a life time area resident.

Eileen was a retired hairdresser for Holiday Boutiques, she loved to bake and was always trying out new recipes to bring to family events. She was an avid reader and loved to share what she learned from her readings.

Survivors include her two brothers, Anthony Russo Jr. and his wife Judy of Oxford and their children, Lynn Russo Hawthorne and her husband Sam; Jane Russo Collins and her husband Robert and Amy Russo Zehall and her husband John, all of Southbury, CT; her brother Carl Russo and his wife Karin of Redding and their children, Carl Russo, Jr and his wife Cindy of Stratford, Brian Russo and his wife Gina of West Haven, Sara Russo and Christian Russo, as well as many cousins and grandnephews.

Friends may visit with her family Sunday afternoon September 17, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 2070 Main St, Stratford for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
