Mrs. Anton was a retired secretary and had previously worked in the White House during the Truman and Eisenhower administrations.

Eleanore (Santella) Anton, 90, of Stratford, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the West River Nursing Facility, Milford. Mrs. Anton was born October 13, 1927 in Mason Town Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Pompeo and Bertha (Manes) Santella and had been a longtime area resident.
Mrs. Anton was a retired secretary and had previously worked in the White House during the Truman and Eisenhower administrations, as well as the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, G.E. and Combustion Engineering. She also enjoyed baking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two children, Patricia Pekari and Mark Anton; two grandchildren, Marisa and James and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service celebrated by Father Bruce Roby on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford.
