Obituary: Enrico ‘Ric’ G. Belenchia, 64

Enrico “Ric” G Belenchia passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Friday, January 25, 2019, at the age of 64. Born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1954 to Enrico and Theresa Belenchia. Ric is survived by his wife, Cristiane Belenchia and father, Enrico C Belenchia. He is also survived by son, Enrico Jr and wife Beth, son Rob and wife Chelsea, daughters Marisa and Suzanne, brothers, Lawrence and sister-in-law Patricia Belenchia, Robert Belenchia, and Brian Belenchia. Ric is also survived by his grandson, Finn, dog, Maya, as well as, four nieces and two nephews. Ric is predeceased by his mother, Theresa, and son Steven.

Ric served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1972-1976, and earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering. He worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 29 years. Ric loved traveling the world and sporting his Mustang, “Becky.”

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10am in the Dennis & D’Arcy Funeral Home located at 2611 Main Street in Stratford. Interment will take place following the service, at Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Friday February 1, 2019 from the hours of 4:00-8:00pm at Dennis & D’Arcy.
