Obituary: Francis J. Graziano, 90, of Stratford

'Rocky' was a great cook (especially Italian dishes), a former Cub Scout Leader, Little League Coach and devoted grandfather.

Francis J. Graziano, "Rocky", 90, beloved husband of the late Anne Matejka Graziano, passed away peacefully October 10, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on July 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Felice and Marietta Lupariello Graziano.

Rocky retired after 33 years from Avco Lycoming. He was a member of the Avco Retirees, the Quarter Century Club and a Union Member and Steward. He was a great cook (especially Italian dishes), a former Cub Scout Leader, Little League Coach and devoted grandfather who loved to joke around and have fun with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children and grandchildren who they fondly called Poppy: Frankie Graziano and his children, Lisa McEachern and sons Ryan and Jesse; Dino Graziano, wife Carol and sons Tyler and Connor; Mark Graziano, wife Wanda and daughters Angela, Grace and Gianna; sister Marie Luperella of Fairfield, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by siblings Norma, Ann, Peter and Henry.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. His funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home and friends are invited. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to help with expenses.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Lord Chamberlain for taking such wonderful care of their Dad (Buddy).
