Obituary: Frank Esuchenko, 96, of Stratford
Frank was retired from the Bridgeport Brass Company, and in his retirement, worked part time for Emson Resource and Gary Tool Company.

Frank Esuchenko, 96, of Stratford, beloved husband of Anna Skirkanich Esuchenko, passed away on March 7, 2018 in Gardner Heights Health Center, Shelton, with his family by his side. Frank was born on December 27, 1921 in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Valia (Topekar) Esuchenia and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School, and was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Army.
Frank was retired from the Bridgeport Brass Company, and in his retirement, worked part time for Emson Resource and Gary Tool Company. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed playing pinochle with his family. Frank loved to cheer on the New England Patriots and the UCONN Woman’s Basketball team. He was a life member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Bridgeport.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 74 years, include his devoted daughter, Joanne Fressola of Shelton, his cherished grandchildren, Debbie Holt and her husband Dustin of Monroe, Robert M. Fressola and his wife Katy of West Hartford, and Paul A. Fressola and his wife Kelly of Southbury, 6 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Ben, Cooper, Sadie, Charlie and Lilly, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank was pre-deceased by his stepmother, Mary Esuchenia, half-sister, Jean Bigelow, and stepbrother, Edward Buben.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10:30 a.m. in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Bridgeport, for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Saturday from 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make a donation in Frank’s memory to St. John’s Church.
