Obituary: Jerome A. Supple Jr., 80, Of Stratford
A retired sergeant detective for the Stratford Police Department for 37 years, he was a character who loved to make everyone laugh.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home): Jerome A. Supple Jr., 80, of Stratford, a retired sergeant detective for the Stratford Police Department for 37 years, died peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Bridgeport on September 17, 1943, he was a son of the late Jerome A. Supple Sr and Caroline Smallwood Supple.
In 1980 Jerome married his beloved wife Barbara Supple in a beautiful ceremony in their hometown. They became inseparable and their love for each other was astounding. That love transcended to animals of all kinds! If they went rescuing another Boston terrier, then they would be bringing home exotic birds from their beloved family vacations in Florida.
He was a devoted husband and father, known for his presence at his children’s sporting events and dance recitals. He worked hard his entire life to give his family anything they needed or wanted.

Jerome loved the 50s and 60s music, The New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and anything with the American Flag on it. He was a character who loved to make everyone laugh! If he wasn’t scaring the local children on Halloween dressed up like a Gorilla or wearing a pink suit into the station. His humor and love will be forever missed.
Besides his loving wife Barbara Supple he is survived by his Daughter Colleen Hatten and her wife Marie, son Christopher Supple and his wife Nelsy, step-son Robert Lewonczyk and his wife Sue, and son-in-law Andy Prosenak, sister Helen-Supple-Milano and Seven grandchildren Amelia Hatten, Nathenial Hatten, Sebastian Supple, Ashley Ferrer and husband Brenden, Nicolas Lewonczyk, Kristy Daniels and husband Joshua, Candy Lewonczyk and five great-grandchildren Sahara, Kaylani, Lillyana, Isaiah, and Zavier.
