Obituary: Joan D. Figula, 79, Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Joan D. Figula, 79, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Figula, passed away on June 16, 2023, in her home.

Joan was born in Port Chester, New York on January 29, 1944, to the late William and Elizabeth (Stempel) Timchak and had been a long-time area resident. She was a graduate of Greenwich High School, class of 1962 and operated a self-employed cleaning service.

Joan was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Grace Church. She enjoyed travelling and attending Craft Fairs, but most of all loved spending time with her beloved family. She will be remembered as a kind and generous woman, with a heart of gold.

Survivors include her children, Karen Figula, and Michael Figula and his fiancé Kim Holst, 4 cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Paul, Michael, James, and Alyssa Figula, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother, William Timchak, and sisters, Irene Persau, and Rose Perriott, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and husband Joan was pre-deceased by her grandson, David Dickovick.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
