Obituary: John (Chip) T. Dillon Jr., 68, Of Stratford
A Stratford High graduate, he retired after 44 years with Sikorsky Aircraft and later worked at Trumbull Mobil, where he made many friends.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): John (Chip) T. Dillon Jr., 68, of Stratford, passed away on April 16, 2024, in his home. John was born in Bridgeport on January 28, 1956, to the late John T. Dillon Sr. and Anne Delibero Dillon and had been a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1974 and was retired after 44 devoted years from Sikorsky Aircraft.
Chip loved motorcycles which led him to pursue becoming a teacher for the Connecticut Rider Education Program where he taught many how to ride safely. Also, a lover of cars, he became an employee at Trumbull Mobil where he made many friends.

Chip was an avid lover of drag racing, the Indy 500 and rock and roll.
Survivors include his daughters, Nicole Semanchik and her husband Dave of Milford and Jennifer Shedlock and her husband Joe of Stratford, 6 grandchildren, sisters, Louise McConnell and Marianne Dillon, brothers, Thomas Dillon (Janet) and Kevin Dillon, and a niece and several nephews.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford. If you would like to do something in Chip’s memory his favorite charity was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
