Obituary: Joseph L. Mandeville, 37

Joe, a world traveler who went on incredible adventures, dedicated his life to sharing as much love as he could with everyone around him.

STRATFORD, CT — (From Pistey Funeral Home): Joseph L. Mandeville, 37, was called home Thursday, July 6, 2023. He is survived by his father Larry Mandeville, mother Dawn Angelucci, younger sister Jennifer Mandeville, stepmother Dara Nelson and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins and many cherished friends who have become family.

Joe was a world traveler and went on incredible adventures, including bicycling across the country coast to coast and backpacking trips where he submerged himself in other cultures throughout the world.

He was in love with life. He was a hands-on person who wasn't afraid to create amazing memories, whether it be a long motorcycle ride or a music festival.

Taking after his family, he was a dedicated tree worker who longed to enrich the environment by furthering his studies. He dedicated his life to sharing as much love as he could with everyone around him. He was more than family or a friend, he was a light that made this world brighter and everyone could feel that light. Even though it's dim without him, he will live bright in our memories forever. Thank you, Joe, for everything.

Services for Joe will be Friday, July 14 from 5-8PM at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, CT, 06615.
