Obituary: Joseph M. Chaco, 66, of Stratford

Joseph M. Chaco, 66, of Stratford, died on September 4, 2018. He was the husband of the late Carol Chaco and was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Irene (Krasnica) Chaco.

Joseph was a proud Navy veteran and served in Vietnam and the Philippines. He retired from his work at Sikorsky after 11 years of dedication. Joseph was an avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR and going fishing.

He is survived by his two daughters, Helen Alvarez and her husband, Al, of Seymour, and Carolynn Chaco and her fiancé, Aaron Mongillo, of Shelton; his sisters, Diane Martin, of West Haven, Elaine Stanchfield and husband, Todd, of Colorado, and Michele Craw and husband, Daniel, of Stratford; one grandchild, Emma Flanagan; and several nieces and nephews.
