Obituary: Lauren Whitman Kezer, 51; Formerly Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Pistey Funeral Home): Lauren (Whitman) Kezer of Ansonia, CT, the loving mother of Kaylene and Anthony Kezer II passed away on September 2, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Lauren was born on January 26, 1971 in Bridgeport, CT. Lauren was raised in Stratford and graduated Stratford High School. She was an employee for more than 30 years at Subway World Headquarters in Milford, CT.

Lauren was passionate about her children and supportive of all their endeavors. She enjoyed “glamping” trips with her family and friends. She was the most kindest and caring person with such a gentle soul.

Lauren was blessed to have family and close friends by her side as she beat her battle with breast cancer in June of 2021. Tragically, Lauren was diagnosed with liver cancer in August of 2022 and lost her battle. Her family is immensely grateful for everyone’s love and support.

In addition to her children, she is survived by her parents Judith and Robert Whitman of Stratford and her brother Adam Whitman of Ansonia; as well as many family members, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Interment at St. Joseph of Stratford Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
