Obituary: Leo J. Dunn Jr., 84, of Stratford

Leo J. Dunn Jr., 84, of Stratford, beloved husband of Gloria Santaw Dunn and his first wife, the late Susan Hornak Dunn, died on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Leo was born in Hartford, CT on June 14, 1932 to the late Leo J. Dunn Sr. and Ellyn Cunningham Dunn. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a bricklayer for Union 2 in Bridgeport for many years, serving as Union Secretary. He later worked for the State of Connecticut as a construction project supervisor for over 25 years.

Leo enjoyed gardening and later in life took up ballroom dancing.

Survivors include his children: Gerald Dunn of Milford, Karen Dunn-Grillo (Sal) of West Haven, Laura Woyciesjes (Jim) of Milford, three grandchildren, Tara, Paige and Kacie, siblings, Nancy McGarry, Thomas Dunn and David Dunn and several nieces and nephews. Leo is predeceased by his son, Kevin Patrick Dunn and brothers, William and Michael Dunn.
