Obituary: Marilyn R. (Clark) Gerathy "Buddy"

Marilyn R. (Clark) Gerathy “Buddy” age 96, of Stratford entered into rest on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus.

She was the devoted wife of 56 years to the late Gerald Gerathy. Marilyn was born in Bridgeport, on July 29, 1925, daughter of the late William and Ruth (Harding) Clark. She started her career as an Administrative Assistant for Chance Vought before working for Van Dyke Corporation and ITT until her retirement. Marilyn enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved making Sunday dinners for her family. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially attending all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

She was the beloved mother of Lynda (David) Kilgore and the late Kathleen Wills, loving grandmother of Kelly Vienneau, William Kilgore, Shaun (Violet) Wills, Ryan (Amanda) Wills, Katie Kilgore, Danny Kilgore, Nina Kilgore, Katherine Kilgore, Tiana (Keith) Phillips, Emily Kilgore and Tessa Kilgore, cherished great grandmother of Corey, Tyler, Dylan, Kayli, Kegan, Kaya, Maddie, Riley, Chase, Lyona, Rory, Alaina, Colton, McKenzie and Olivia. Marilyn was also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter Brittany Wills, son-in-law Richard Wills and sister Elizabeth Clark.

Friends may call on Friday, April 1st from 5 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral service will follow at the parlor.
