Obituary: Mary Ann T. (Pietka) Nicholas, 77, Of Stratford
She was a retired employee of People's Bank, where she worked for 25 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
STRATFORD, CT — (From Pistey Funeral Home): Mary Ann T. (Pietka) Nicholas, 77, of Stratford, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 17, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Bridgeport, CT to the late Frank and Mary (Dedinsky) Pietka and was a graduate of St. Cyril & Methodius Commercial High School. She was a retired employee of People’s Bank, where she was employed for 25 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mary Ann is survived by her devoted children, Theresa Cocchia (James) and Kevin Nicholas; her grandchildren, Danielle Nicholas and Julia Cocchia; her special niece, Maryann Quiriconi and her husband Mark. She was predeceased by her daughter, Denise Nicholas and brothers, Thomas, Francis and Joseph Pietka.
