Obituary: Mary Jane Kosa, 79, Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Mary Jane Kosa, 79, of Stratford, beloved wife of William Kosa, passed away on October 24, 2023.

Mary Jane was born in Bridgeport on March 24, 1944, to the late Joseph and Mabel (Martin) Hanz and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Bassick High School and was an avid sewer and enjoyed crocheting and donating her works of prayer shawls and baby hats and blankets to Project Linus.

Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 60 years, include her devoted sons, William Kosa and his wife Diane of Stratford, and Michael Kosa and his wife Ann of New Hampshire, 6 cherished grandchildren, Danny, Julie, Rachel, Grace, Ashley, and Zachary, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Monday, October 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment in the family plot at St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford will be private.
