Obituary: Michael W. Mackie, 58; Formerly Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Adzima Funeral Home): Michael William Mackie passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, in Manchester, NH after a brief illness.

Born in Bridgeport, CT and raised in Stratford and Meriden, Michael eventually settled in Effingham, NH. Michael loved to cook and his passion for food took him to many restaurants over the years. He was very proud of his work with 302 West Smokehouse and Tavern in Fryeberg, ME.

A lifelong Yankees fan, Michael also enjoyed watching wrestling, collecting comic books, and raising ducks.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Mackie, his sister, Joan, brother-in-law, Tom, their children Billy and Katie, his brother Tommy and his son Fletcher, John Papallo, whom he loved as a son and family of the heart Ann and Alexandra Papallo. Michael was predeceased by his father, Michael Mackie.

A graveside service for Michael will take place on Friday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery 2610 Nichols Avenue Stratford.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home -Stratford.
